3AC sleeper class turned out to be just fine. 3 bunks on each side, and 2 in the corridor, making 8 people in each compartment. Curtains on the windows, but no curtains around the bunks or between compartments. On this one, John and I were in separate compartments. We left it that way overnight (I have no need to be that close to his snoring!!), but once morning came, I went and sat with John in his compartment, along with a lovely family from West Bengal, and their daughter Mimi, who had good English. And there we whiled away 22 hours - only 4 hours late in Varanasi
