We had an extra day in Stockholm so the transport was on us. I bought a double 24 hour bus pass for “pensioners” and we made our way to the Swedish Museum which had a good Viking life section. The Vikings were a loose collection of Scandinavian people that lived for about 350 years between 750 and 1100 CE. They were opportunistic explorers and were known to have sailed from the extreme eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea to as far west as North America near present day Newfoundland. Artifacts found in burial tombs show a great variety from all over the known world at the time.
