This is the location where Lake Malaren steps down into the Baltic Sea. The combination of lake and sea is why Stockholm is located here. Malaren is the third largest fresh water lake in Sweden. Every year officials stock salmon into the lake which grow large and then leave to sea to spawn. Sweden has over 96,000 lakes!
