After dinner Rhonda and I went to the close by town square and looked at the peace statue. The last part of the inscription translates roughly: Feuds foster hatred, peace promotes public understanding. It was erected only 10 years after WWII ended which might explain the apparent dig at the German aggressors with the Nazi style helmeted head under foot.
