Eventually in the early afternoon we rode the funicular to the top of Mt. Floyen. It was very crowded but got some nice pics. We ate an interesting lunch up there. I finally tried the fish soup and was enjoying it, being halfway through a large bowl, when a fly took a kamikaze dive right into the soup! I was incredulous! I showed the unfortunate flying insect to our waiter and asked for a small bowl replacement. He complied agreeably. Rhonda had to send her undercooked hamburger back for another which he tried to make right. Anyway, I tipped him well. By the time we made it down to the wharf area we only had about 30 minutes to shop. We headed back to the hotel about 3:00 and spent the rest of the evening there.
