Best layover EVER. The nine pyramids of the Giza Necropolis were built within less than one century, between roughly 2550 and 2490 BC. Pyramid Cheops is the oldest and largest of the three at 147 m in height, and is composed of 2.5 million limestone blocks weighing anywhere from 2 to 70 tons each.
