I'm probably never going to forget the time in Manila when Dad (fed up with getting his free airline-provided fabric slippers soaked in our hostel's showers) waded into rush hour traffic to buy new flip-flops from a tricycle vendor in the middle of the gridlock (I mean, they weren't going anywhere anytime soon, right?)! Now that's what I call "power shopping". #onlyinthephilippines
