Niagara Falls are truly impressive. This unbelievable amount of crystal clear water tumbles down from Lake Erie (via the Niagara River) into Lake Ontario which lies much lower than the other Great Lakes. At first I was hoping the boat would get really close to the Falls, but then when it finally turned around to go back, I felt relieved. It's so loud and wet that you feel overpowered by nature. I was fearing the kids would be swept off the boat by the waves that are created when millions of gallons of water crash onto the water's surface below.
