Emi and I went Manta Ray Night Snorkelling. You go out on a boat at dusk and then, when the sun has set, they put a board with light (that attracts plankton) into the water where you hold on to and watch the mantas and tons of other fish feed on it. Emily wanted to do it really badly and she was so brave. She was the only child on board and jumped into the pitch-black Pacific ocean and swam to the board. I doubted it until the very last minute... I guessed I would have pushed her in, that's how frickin' expensive that outing was. It also got really cold after 30 min of being in the water. Mantas a mesmerizing creatures! I was the only one without an underwater camera with selfie-stick. Don't people nowadays do anything without taking a camera? Big other fish nibbled on our fingers while we watched the rays.

The date is drawing closer... We'll be heading to the US in four weeks! Let the adventure begin. I will use this blog to let colleagues and friends know what we are up to. I will try to post one photo every week that shows some cultural differences...
