In Roiville, France, we visited a family-run Cider Farm and Producer. It was neat to see the different equipment and procedures and aging process for each type, from apple juice to 22-year-old Calvados. At the end, we were allowed to sample every single thing! I thought Calvados should be sweet and delicious, having come from an apple, but I was deadly wrong. It's like 100 proof grain alcohol or a harsh vodka! I learned something surprising at every place we stopped in France.
