Waking up in a home that as been built around a 700 year old tower. This place is sacred because many hundred of years ago, a high llama came and prayed under a rock that the tower was built around. As the family showed me with pride, his footprint is still visible before their shrine. Fittingly this was our first footprint into Tibet, the land of the snows. (This is in a beautiful village called zhonglu 中路 just outside danba. Highly reccomended.)
