We will spend Monday and Tuesday at the Beach and plan on visiting a light house north of Duck NC and going to Manteo with Alan and JoAnne to see the Lost Colony Tuesday night. Then Wednesday Morning we will be leaving and headed to Washington DC. We plan on going to one museum before heading to Gettysburg. Thursday we will be touring Gettysburg battlegrounds and taking the walking tour. We will then head up to Lancaster and tour the Amish Town. Then Saturday morning we will complete our vacation by going to McVeytown PA for the Swartz cousin family reunion where I will get to visit my aunts, uncles and cousins. This will also be an opportunity to introduce Claudia to where I grew up as a young girl. I plan on taking her by the old red school house, the rock in the middle of town, down town Lewistown and maybe State College on Sunday morning. I think I need two weeks off to really do all the things I want to do.

Carrboro, United States

State College, United States

McVeytown, United States

Greenwood Furnace State Park, United States

Lancaster, United States

Gettysburg, United States

Gettysburg, United States

Washington, United States

Manteo, United States

Corolla, United States

Kitty Hawk Beach, United States

We arrived at Alan's and Joanne's. As we drove up to their home (with our car window's rolled down) I notice there was a car I did not recognized in their driveway. I told Claudia. Oh, boy. I hope they haven't forgotten we were coming and gave our room away...

Alan answer the door and after polite hello's and sharing of brotherly and sisterly hugs and love. I went into the kitchen and met three of JoAnne's formal students. Claudia told me that if you wanted to know how good of a teacher a person is you didn't ask the parents you ask the students.

Joanne is the most loving, giving, warm person I have ever known. She goes to the nth degree to make you feel welcome in their home. Claudia and I have been to visit Joanne and Alan three times, since they moved to Kitty Hawk, June 2011.

After our quick introduction to the students and after appropriate sharing of sibling love. Claudia and I headed to the beach.

We had three hours of sunning, kite flying, water bobbing, kindle reading, that was top off my nice coat of sun burn back of the legs and red noses. I feel satisfy and rested.

We finish the night by going to worship service at my brother's church, Kitty Hawk United Methodist Chursh. Where they were having contempoary services. The sisterhood was raising money, and we had dinner at the church; hot dogs, bake beans, chips, and homemade dessert.

We then retired to my brothers living room, where everyone broke out their computers, with TV running in the back ground.

I am now ready for bed. Good night, stay tune to tomorrows saga.

Carrboro

Talking about a slow start...Claudia said I jinx her this morning. I woke up a just a little before 5am and finish off some of my paperwork from last week. Claudia woke up around 5am and took a shower. We finished packing, took showers, and then Claudia decided to make some coffee. Her electric coffee pot was packed in the car...so she tried to use her stove top coffee maker. I don't drink coffee,so I went out to the car to wait for her...twenty minutes later..she came out and threw the coffee pot away in the trash. She told me that I jink her and that the coffee would not boil and the coffee tasted nasty. So, off we went. As I went by the 540 exit, I realized that was the exit I wanted to take. I got off the Airport Road exit and looped back around to 540. Then 540 ended into 264 which took us to 64 to Kitty Hawk. The rest of the trip was uneventful, we turned on my Zune full blast and listened and sang along to some of my old music from the 90's and a few from the 80's and 70's, speckle with a few current tunes. Then about two blocks from our distination my air condition went out on my car. I wonder how much it will cost me at the beach to get my air condition fixed?
