Visited church and town shops, went on to Utah beach for two stops the final day and most successful beach reaching it's objective only one of the five beaches to do so, utah American beach and added last to the planwas first beach to be landed on, we visited far left of beach where Roosevelt landed by mistake got to look here a large number German defensive bunkers of the Atlantic wall many damaged in landings. Visit British memorial above gold beach third beach. Visit Pegasus bridge glider landing ground and memorial , 6 battalion British paratroops landed in three gliders and took the bridge after short fight with two killed, then held bridge against strong counter attacks untill relieved from troops from sword beachlooked and talked about new bridge.
