The Manado dive was to prepare me for diving in Lembeh straight. Where you can not touch or go close to the bottom at all or you cloud everything up with black silt so you cant see a thing and cant take photos. SO this dive was to practice my boyency. Not black sand but still very silty and no coral just strange fish and small annenmomies sitting in the middle of no where. Was good to see different landscape.
Went into the village for the last time. Alot of the people all know my name even though Ive never meet them. I sit and play with some of the kids. they love having their photos taken and giggle. A lady comes out and hands me her baby and wants me to be in a photo with him. Don't quiet understand why they all want their photo taken as they only have one look and never see it again. Even the Adults want a portrait. Me and four of the other divers contemplate going for a night snorkel and one of them suggests we don't has they have large manwar jelly fish with the long tentacles. Why didn't they warn us about them the other night? I have a few final drinks with the local men at our resort they drink a kind of Wine made from Irak and mixed with a little coke. Very potent smelling and drink it in shots. They all drink from the same glass. Not a nice thought but rude to decline in their culture. i usually have one or two then tell them that's enough.
