However, not all business classes and connecting routes are created equal. If you know where to go and don't mind making a connection, you might be able to fly in business class for the same price as an economy trip.

There are several airlines that always offer very affordable business class tickets. Own private area, (slightly) improved reheated food, unlimited wine, and most crucially, a bed.

The airlines that provide the best deals for business class travel are listed below, along with some of the more popular connecting flights that will help you get a seat on these airlines rather than the competition.

Turkish Airlines

Aside from the new Turkish Airlines 787 business class, their offering is not particularly competitive. Middle seats in business class on Turkish Airlines' flagship Boeing 777 are an unwelcome reality due to the airline's policy of 2-3-2 seating. However, if you're traveling from Europe to Asia or from Europe to the Middle East, you may frequently get excellent fares. Turkish Airlines, for instance, offers one-way tickets for about $950 from Europe to South East Asia.

Turkish carriers does provide a more comprehensive route network, despite the fact that it is a little more expensive than some of the other carriers' fantastic discounts on our list. Turkish Airlines' fares are not always inexpensive, but it is always worthwhile to check with them for a fantastic rate.

TAP Portugal

TAP will most likely provide you the greatest pricing if you're traveling between Europe and the US. Fares across the Atlantic start at $675 one way thanks to their A330-900neos' new and highly regarded business class service as well as their constantly growing U.S. route network. The A321LR neo, which TAP just unveiled, expands the number of business class alternatives available from Lisbon.

It's significant that plenty of legacy carriers charge high return-only fares. Therefore, it is always worthwhile checking out business class on TAP through Lisbon if you wish to go from Europe to Miami, New York, or San Francisco for a terrific price, and only one way.

Air Asia

You know to anticipate pretty little when an airline advertises its premium product (flatbed) as including a complimentary bottle of water and a simple meal. A shell seat serves as the first two rows of business class on AirAsia. Expect nothing more than a lie-flat seat and basic blankets. You must still pay for any refreshments and in-flight entertainment.

So why would one book this? It's extremely affordable, to be sure. For a little over $300, I recently reserved a flatbed trip on Air Asia for six hours. A bed at a fantastic price. Ensure that you bring everything else with you!

Icelandair

Icelandair's business class service won't ever receive any honors. Icelandair, on the other hand, becomes quite competitive when travelling between Europe and the United States when you weigh price vs quality.

They don't have lie-flat beds, therefore their "business class" is more akin to domestic First Class in the United States. However, the pricing are more in line with economy flights when traveling between Europe and the U.S. East Coast for as little as $1,000 roundtrip. also a free stopover in Iceland!

Aer Lingus

Aer Lingus has some fantastic one-way lie-flat business class rates if you're traveling between Europe and the United States. Although their business class on the A330 is a good product, don't anticipate it to start winning accolades any time soon. For flights from Europe to the East Coast, you may anticipate paying about $1,500 roundtrip, and for flights to the West Coast, about $1,800 roundtrip.

So if you want to see a little of Ireland, you're looking at paying approximately twice the economy cost on British Airways or American Airlines, with the added benefit of a stopover in Dublin. As you'll see below, there are less expensive choices, but they don't quite compare to Aer Lingus, which provides one of the most affordable ways to have a good bed over the Atlantic.

Aero Mexico

AeroMexico has some exceptionally low business class rates if you're traveling between North and South America. You will board a 787 Dreamliner with lie-flat beds for any flights to So Paulo or Santiago after making connections through Mexico City. I purchased a business class ticket from Los Angeles to So Paulo for about $650 one way, which amounted to over 14 hours of flight time. Not at all awful!

From London to Mexico City, AeroMexico also frequently offers excellent tickets. If you choose to fly on the 787-9 instead of the 787-8, you'll have a very competitive business class experience with 1-2-1 seats.
