Got up early was met by a coach for day trip to hover dam and grand canyon. After picking up everybody we travelled out of las Vegas and stopped for reakfast at a pancake House. Before travelling on to the grand canyon west rim visitor centre before transferring to the shuttle buses to eagle point. Where after long queues went out on the skywalk. Then had lunch and visited the various examples different Indian houses.then travelled to guano point for a different view of the canyon. On rejoing coach we then travelled to a vantage point over looking hoover dam. Before returning to las Vagas. Being on own was seated next to a family of three from Houston Texas the man being ex us army forward observer and we struck up a conversation and spent rest of trip together. The guide Robby was very entertaining and interesting but did not push it. Had dinner in treasure island golden circle sports bar before taking advantage of the gambling tour I did on Sunday played craps for an hour planning to play 100 dollars win or lose using the strategy taught me. Left table on 1 hour mark cashing in 317 dollars you can win.

Breakfast in treasure island coffee shop Atv tour Mojave desert travelled to Luxor hotel for pick up before heading into mojahva dessert. On arriving we were given a safety briefing and instruction on how to operate the 450 cc ATVs, we then went off for an hour of racing around the dessert in a cloud of dust. Eat American breakfast in the treasure island coffee shop Took duel bus to freemont street and walked to plaza hotel and casino and met tour rep. Turned out only one on gambling tour which was good for me. He showed me around the hotel which is one of the first in Vegas and gave a history of Vegas and it's gambling before going into casino where he went through how to play roulette, then craps then 21. Very interesting. Then went to mob museum around corner and because arrived early changed times of forensics tour and police simulator. The forensics tour was interesting hands on look at various aspects, carrying out an vertical autopsy, taking and comparing finger prints, learning about DNA and learning about firearms comparison. I then moves onto the police simulator, where it was explained about police training in deadly force and the policies involved. Then given a realistic training gun and then has some target practice to orders from the instructor before moving on to two training videos a store robbery and a home evasion where you had to make the decision whether to shoot or not and the pressure you are under. Then moved on to a situation with a real life actor with a gun on his belt (Vegas is an open carry town) who you have to deal with without putting you or him at risk. Well worth doing gives good feel for what armed police have to deal with. Needed all my experience of gun handling and working as a door supervisor. Left home by eagles taxi 9am (same driver who picked me up from round world trip) smooth journey by back roads arrived Heathrow T3 9.30. Checked in, long queue to drop off bag, smooth through security in lounge no with drink 11am. Virgin direct flight vs0155 to las Vegas take off 12.45 virgin delight seat, took off and landed on time 3.25 pm Pacific time 10.30 flight spent time watching movies and TV and eating good experience. Joy of dealing with never smiling immigration officer then efficient delivery of bags. Meet by pre booked driver to treasurer island hotel to book in. Dinner in golden circle sports bar for fish and chips and Alaskan beer.
