Chris reserved the hotel room for us.

Snow Lake Shores, United States

Nite nite Home. The breakfast was awful so drive to a McDonalds for coffee. Stop at a Buc-ee’s and it was mobbed with people inside. It was a huge store with everything in it. We used the nice restrooms and left. Think there is so many people and cars out because it is the schools fall break. Stop at Nashville Costco for gas and the store is so busy we leave. Have lunch at Fire House Subs nearby. We stop at Sam’s in Jackson and have ice cream. They are very busy as well. Arrive home just before dark. The yard is so dry for many weeks of no rain. We empty out the RV because of our mouse problem.

Knoxville, United States

NiteNite Super 8 We had to hustle this morning to pack up and check out and put luggage in the RV. Then wait for the trolley and realize might get there late for an early 10:00 matinee. But when we got there Mark Lowery was just introducing Endless Highway and then The Sound performed. Mark was really good in encouraging us in our faith in a humorous way. Had just enough time to walk to Hardee’s for lunch. Then the afternoon program started 2:00. After it was almost over, we go out to catch a trolley. After we get on, I realize I didn’t have my phone. The trolley guy we know let us off and we walked back. We went to where we were sitting and everyone around tried to help us find it. I looked at “find my phone” knew it was in the building. While I went to food court to see if I set it down there, Larry walked back to seats where we sat for a few minutes. While he was in the back he saw a guy holding my phone. I thanked him and he said he formally played the drums for Lafevre and was waiting to meet with them since that was their last performance. I needed dollar bills for trolley so hoped I could get some at food court. They were closing but had money to give me change for my $5. Then the sandwich lady said if I wanted to take a sandwich they were giving them away so I grabbed two. When we tried to get another trolley none were coming so we walked on the parkway hoping to get one there. Larry enjoyed watching the little cars that were there. We kept walking, ate the sandwiches, it started to sprinkle, and finally a trolley came. It took us to the Island so we got to see what that was like. Finally was able to get to the RV and drive away in the traffic. It got better after the road split to go to 40. We took 40 and drove to a Super 8 Knoxville West/Farragut that was terrible but stayed the night.

Pigeon Forge, United States

Go to the matinee to see Hopper’s 50 celebration and Singing News awards-Morris comes and sits with us. Drive to Gatlinburg on a beautiful sunny day. Drive thru town and don’t stop there is so much traffic. Eat at Wendy’s and then get ready to get on the trolley. Talk to Stan Whitmire and buy his CD and talk to Funderburk and get his CD. After some of the evening program, eat a sandwich at the food court.

Pigeon Forge, United States

Nite nite Marriot SpringHill Suites. Drove on route 40 and then headed south on route 321. It was divided highway and only crowded and stop and go when we first got on. The last few miles was single lane and very windy. We got to the hotel and after we checked in we were so tired we took a nap so missed the afternoon NQC. We get ready to go and stand at the trolley stop not knowing when it would show up. We found out it came every 30 min and we needed $2 using exact money to ride each time. After arriving at LeConte had to buy tickets and ended up getting some good seats for the week. Didn’t miss too much of the evening program and got there just in time to hear Endless Highway. Our seats are near a big tv screen which is good because can hardly see the stage. I texted Morris that we were there and we saw him on the TV screen. He said he had two empty seats next to him on the front row so after going to the food court and having a sandwich, we went and sat with him.

Crossville, TN

Nite nite Super 8. Left Snow Lake late morning because Larry needed meds and we had to go to clinic to get new meds cards first. Drove to Corinth first and had lunch at Borrums-had patty melt-good but greasy. Then took the route 45 to 100 route. Stopped at Wendy’s Cookeville for supper. Spent the nite at a nice Super 8.
