We plan to visit with the Krivis’. Then she calls us that John is very sick from taking a new med-a chemo pill because of upcoming prostate surgery. So we continue on Rand Rd. And eat lunch at Portillo’s and go to Sam’s. Find some neat cushioned floor mats. We visit several furniture store on way back home. It gets cloudy and cool. The last stop at Ashley’s we find two lamps for the bedroom that they will send us. We had the most fun at the antique shop. Emma found records that had prints on the entire record and nice album covers. She picked out a necklace I got for her and I found a ring. The guys shopped for a piñata. Connie made a chocolate cake. Emma makes Mac and cheese and Chris grills out. Emma opened presents and tried to break open piñata. Didn’t have long to pack ahead of time because we were spending most days at the Collierville condo. It took us all morning to get ready to go and leave by 11:00. After we were down the road on 72 I was putting stuff in my purse and realized when I changed from my Covid purse I forgot to get my driver’s license. So we turned around and went back home. We took 385 to Millington since the I-40 bridge is closed in Memphis. Stopped at Dyersburg for Chick-fil-A lunch. Took 155 and on to 55. Stopped at Menard’s at Cape Girardeau to walk around. Ate supper at Cane’s Chicken in Arnold, MO. It was a beautiful night and sat outside to eat. Then on to the motel in Collinsville, Illinois. The room smelled Smokey so we asked for another one. We got unpacked and when I turned back the sheet, it had big grease marks all over it. Asked for another one!! And the new 3rd room was handicapped and it was okay.
