The Sundarbans play a crucial role within the economy of the southwestern region of Bangladesh also as within the economy. The forest also has immense protective and productive functions. Constituting 51% of the entire reserved forest estate of Bangladesh it contributes about 41% of total forest revenue and accounts for about 45% of all timber and fuelwood output of the country. About 4.01% of the entire area of Bangladesh belongs to Sundarbans and 39.5% of total forest plays a crucial role to guard against the environmental catastrophe of the country. Rapid global climate change is also posing a threat to the existence of Sundarbans. we will see that about 3 lakh people directly and also quite 10 lakh people indirectly are hooked into this forest.

After the attack of SIDR & AILA on Sundarbans, the govt banned permit BLC (Boat License Certificate) for one year to recover the previous image, and most of the communities were forced to quit their profession and that they came to town or city trying to find employment for sustaining their family. Besides, many of them were jobless or passing miserable conditions. As a result, now about 48% of people near Sundarbans live under the 'upper poverty line' consistent with because of the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS). Besides, the people of this region sleep in physically vulnerable circumstances. the world is cyclone prone, monsoonal, and low-lying, with many settlements located alongside the waterways and coastline.

There are various communities who are fully hooked into Sundarbans like nip collector, honey collector, fishermen, wood picker, woodcutter, etc and their number are nip collector-150000, honey collector-8000, Carpenter (boat repairman)-2000, Carpenter (Wood picker)-1000, Carpenter (Dependent on Sundarbans articles)-15000, fishermen including different business-1,15,000 et al. labor- 10000. it's said that after the attack of SIDR & AILA most of the professionals are faced with problems and that they are did not continue their activities, as a result, they're now unemployed. Also, after the attack of these two powerful natural forces on Sundarbans, it's become a vulnerable circumstance than before and a few quarters of the planet heritage sites Sunderbans were damaged. Researchers said mangrove forest Sundarbans will take a minimum of 40 years to get over this catastrophe.

It has been discussed tons regarding the preservation and development of Sundarban but it didn't bring an honest result. the govt is reluctant to get rid of the drawbacks of the Sundarbans that might ease further destruction. Now the communities of the world are scared of getting into the forest without giving charge and Fish dacoit, Forest robber, the smuggler is so prevalent within the forest that we will lose huge resources and it might be the place of them that helps to decay the forest in no time.

Besides, there's a conflict between Man-Animal, Man-Forest, and Wild Animal - Forest, and it should be stopped by taking adequate steps for the conservation of the Sundarbans. the govt started once SBCP (Sundarbans Biodiversity Conservation Project) and IPAC (Integrated Protected Area Co-management) programs for getting into the forest of the communities but now it's stopped SBCP that hamper the livelihood of the communities within the forest area. the govt also should take some steps like Eco-development, Village Forest Protection Committees, Education and Awareness, protection squads, Rural services for women; Implementation of the Fish Act: Awareness-building and species protection; Training in sustainable fry collection; Tree planting schemes and a nursery development program; Strip plantation along embankments, roads, and highways, etc for the protection of our Sundarbans. it's needed to accord with the community to conserve the forest because they're ready to provide sufficient knowledge regarding the protection of Sundarbans.

So, we should always come to the fore to conserving Sundarbans at any cost for the event of the country and to extend awareness regarding Sundarbans for the protection of the longer term generation.
