Traffic is heavy with the 99 downtown closed. We get there 3 hrs. early and the place is dead. Because of the government shut-down and the TSA not being paid, we were afraid it would go slower. We have lunch at McD. Have enough time (one hour) at Denver to get to our gate. Meet a couple from Germantown that have a daughter in Brementown and now have a condo there. Since we didn’t check bags but just took backpacks because of the economy ticket, we easily walked to the car and got home by 9:30.https://jauntlet.com//88741https://jauntlet.com//88741Wed, 16 Jan 2019 21:20:00 -0600Patrick is concerned about my dark spot on my right cheek so he makes an appt for me to see the dermatologist he works for, Dr. Kelly Griffin-Bauer. Cindy drives us downtown and we have to pay $10 to park in a garage. She gives me a full exam and said everything is ok and next visit can lighten the spot with a laser. She puts dry ice on a small spot on my nose. We go back to the apartment so Cindy can study. Then go to her 2:30 radiation appt. Stop at Kroger for cream for her rash that she is getting from the radiation. Get flowers for Hallie. Come home, eat and get ready to go to Hallie’s play—The Wizard of Oz, The Deleted Scene. Hallie is the only Crow and she does a great job. We talk with Stacey and Natalie afterwards. Another beautiful day. We go to Costco and eat lunch at Ballard, Habit Burger. In the same area we visit a new little grocery store, New Seasons Market. I buy Sambucha to try. Then we drive downtown to Cindy’s radiation facility. There is a parking garage below it. After we go to a coffee shop nearby. We had fun picking out ingredients to make chow main and different desserts. Then we go across the street to get “bubble tea”, a cold flavored drink with small gummy squares that are flavored. Then we go to Red Mill at Magnolia. We go back to the apartment. After dinner we go for a walk and end up at the park that has the view of the Space Needle and Mt. Rainier. Cindy and Hallie pick us up. A beautiful sunny day. At the apartment, we meet Toby the cat. Patrick was helping with scheduling at a Dermatologist clinic, when he was offered to work in their lab. He will be trained to operate a MOS that prepares skin samples for the Dr.’s to look at. He slices skin in paper thin slices and puts it on a slide. Patrick makes us a grilled steak dinner.
