Jauntlet.comhttps://jauntlet.com/Well after 12+ months of planning and a few hiccups on the way, the day has arrived, 19/7/16, the day we fly out for New York. We got to the airport 3hrs before the Schulz take off, as Father and I were still not convinced that Etihad had booked our extra leg rooms seats. While checking in, we got the same non convincing yes to the extra leg room seats booking. Only time will tell. After check in, we had a few drinks at the bar, which help time fly by, as the boarding time quickly arrived. Immigration leaving Australia is now different, now you fill in the green card, scan your passport, get a photo taken then drop the green card in a box. We were all like, it can't be this easy. Where's the poop Robin? We boarded slightly behind schedule, but when we got on the plane and to our seats, we did get out extra leg room seats! #woohoo! The flight was a lil more painful than my other previous flights to Europe. We did have the extra leg room, but the seats themselves were real narrow. All 3 of us watched a couple of movies with very lil sleep. I think I got the most sleep out of all of us, with probably 3-4 hours in a 10.5hr flight. We didn't take a sleeping pill during this flight, so will be definitely on the cards for the next leg. Our seats were near the toilets, and wasn't that a circus. During then flight there was 2 major events, an women came out looking as white as a ghost, and then ended up in the back of the plane with some oxygen, and the second event, a women tried to open the toilet door, and just collapsed on the floor, face plant style.
