Finally made it to Cereal Killer Cafe in Dubai Mall! Why didn't I think of this idea?! They sell bowls of cereal! Didn't know they had milkshakes though. Cereals you can't find in stores here. It's by the divers fountain. They have a free old school arcade game there as well. On the kids spring break. Left right after school. Drive took us 7 hours with the stop at the border for my visa. Was late when we arrived so no exploring that day. Spent 3 nights at the Millenium Apartments which was attached to the Avenues shopping mall. Weather was not ideal with rain and clouds, cool wind. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool with view of the mountains a bit both days. The mall was nice but nothing special compared to Dubai shopping. We went to a great little cafe near the beach for breakfast called . Great American style breakfast and enjoyed the decor and atmosphere. We ate an early dinner at Slider Station per kids request, also in the same plaza near the beach. It was the same tasty food we are used to at their sister restaurant in Dubai. After dinner we explored the area by car a bit and found a really nice park set at base of mountains across front the beach. They had big playground and lots of grass. I could see some small amusement rides within walking distance but didn't check them out.
