A {tiny} highlight of my weekend was having one of Beth Macre's #tinyhouses finally come into my possession! Literally so excited. In fact, it perfectly represents #Megaphone16 for me: while there is a lot of crazy running around, always more work to be done and fires to put out, coming to this conference and hugging on clients, colleagues, friends and family always feels like coming home. ❤️

I have mad puffy bunny house styling skills. Granted, there is likely to be an infestation of dinosaurs and rabid cats if I'm in charge of the homestead, but other than that Mama Bunny and I have your stomach ache handled. You are welcome.

So excited for this girl beginning a new chapter today at Haas Hall Academy! There is zero doubt she has a haasome year ahead.

Tonight I'm grateful for Haas Hall. All those books that I (and and others) have been INSISTING that Sophie read over the past few years? Yeah: they're on the required reading list. #perfection {{First up: A Wrinkle In Time (duh), purchased earlier this summer. Next: Roll Of Thunder, Hear My Cry (my copy, circa 80s)}}

Death of the coffee pot = a French press kind of morning... and I'm fairly happy about it. Plus, it's 74 degrees for my Saturday morning front porch sitting + coffee drinking. Bliss!

Dropped Sophie off for a back to school party with friends and snuck away for midafternoon blackberry cobbler with this cutie pie!

So glad to spend some time with my parents this weekend as summer winds down - staying at the lake for a night always feels like a refreshing mini vacay to me. Plus, there are signs everywhere that a) these are my people and b) clearly I come from good stock.

It's official: we are excited about kindergarten.

So, this is our front door. It's moderately cute (see link in bio for our recent home tour to read my ad nauseum enthusing about our house), but it is about to get seriously cute. My awesome husband has been toiling at redoing the screen door, painting, repairing hardware and resuscitating the brass knocker. Can't wait to share the "after!"

Such a fun morning at brunch with this fabulous group of ladies talking about @dressforsuccessnwa and ways their volunteer circle can get involved with the upcoming Little Black Dress Dinner Party. My husband has gotten incredibly good at seared ahi tuna.

We went to bed last night and Sophie was still cranking away upstairs with the art supplies as she has many nights already this summer. This morning - our 17th anniversary - we woke up to a heart-shaped array of carefully-lettered notes. Love this!

You guys. My weekend mornings are complete again. This stuff is genuinely good and creamy. I'm surviving the battles with my sugar dragon (day 20!), but drinking coffee black had me missing depth. So happy to find this #Whole30Approved deliciousness via the @Whole30 insta! Ordered the @nutpods 3 pack on Amazon and will be keeping it on hand in the future for sure.
